1955 Chevrolet Nomad
What started out to be a family cruiser turned into a serious show winner. This bright yellow nomad has won every show its entered. Including the Portland Rod and Custom Show 2003, the Seattle Roadster Show 2003, the Eugene Autorama 2003, where it also won best interior, and best paint. The car speaks for itself.
The body was stripped to bare metal before the rust repair could begin. This was handled by Nick Meyer at Northwest Autofab.
After many hours of metal work and body work it was shipped to Alex Paluch to complete the paint work. After many more hours of painting and buffing it was returned to Northwest Autofab for assembly.
Assembly begins. The subframe has been powder coated and assembled with all new parts. 605 power steering box, KYB shocks, Sway bars front and back, Ford 9" rearend with 3.73 gears, Front disc brakes, Dropped spindals, and a relocated Custom fuel tank.
 
The interior features Vintage AC, Custom autosound stereo system, Tilt column, Julianos 3-point seat belt, and topped off with custom interior by Smith Auto Trim.
350 motor is painted and ready for install. Its mated to a 700R trans that was built by Trans tech.
 
The chrome was redone by Mastercraft of Seattle. The stainless was straightened and polished in house.
